A story about Patrick J. Fitzgerald
He was so cute on Wait, Wait!
This woman is my hero! She is incredibly sensible, well-spoken, and sincere. I would be happy to be anything like her—professionally, anyway.
Over the last few months I have really enjoyed the exchanges I’ve had with Anne Louise. She seems a friendly, level headed person, who is interested in meeting, and understanding and helping, other people.
I love her La Maison photos.
And of course she’s a great reader, although how much of her reading is of the weighty russian variety I’m not so sure;)
But, yeah, Anne Louise, she’s great!
We’ve seen each other in the ugliest matching red spandex suits when we played fairies in Midsummer :)
Sorry, hun, I know you’ll probably never get over that.
More Athens love! I technically haven’t met Michael Stipe… just voyeuristically run into him, like everyone at UGA. He was standing behind my friends at a concert at the 40 watt, and he walked by us once in a cowboy hat while we were enjoying some pitchers at taco stand downtown. Freshman year a friend went to one of REM’s famous in cognito shows at Georgia Theatre, but I didn’t go… damn. I hear he used to hang at the Manhattan all the time. Anyway, I love what a decent guy he is and appreciate all those guys do for Athens.
Carter and I were destined to be friends. Plus we endured our first university class ever together, honors anthropology. And she had a car freshman year.
Ward is my favorite Jump, Little Children member because I randomly seemed to spot him downtown every time he was in Athens for a show. And he was really nice to my friends when we stayed after to talk to him outside the Georgia Theatre while they were busy breaking down the sound equipment. Thanks, Ward, you’re a good sport!
